Apple Orchards
- Deardorff Orchards & Vineyards (8350 Parley Lake Road, Waconia – 19 miles) Family farm founded in 1982. Nestled on 120 acres of pristine land near Lake Waconia, Carver Park Reserve and Parley Lake. Pick-Your-Own Apple Orchard.

Jordan, MN 55352) Minnesota’s Largest Candy store, otherwise known as Jim’s Apple Farm, is located along Highway 169 in Jordan, MN. A short 35-minute drive from downtown Minneapolis, the seasonal, family-owned store offers more than 27,000 square feet of candy, popcorn, sodas, and hard-to-find merchandise.

- Roets Jordan Brewery (just steps from the front door) In the spirit of the generations of Jordan brewers, the Roets Family brings the craft of brewing back to the City of Jordan. Enjoy a complimentary brew when staying at the Nicolin Mansion.
- Excelsior Brewing Company (421 3rd Street, Excelsior – 18 miles) A Lake Minnetonka inspired microbrewery, right in the heart of Excelsior. A full production brewery offering several unique brews in their tap room. The brewery offers tours, growler sales and trucker caps.
- Next Chapter Winery (16945 320th Street, New Prague – 14 miles) Next Chapter Vineyard is a 6-acre vineyard owned and operated by the Tulloch family, producing Velvet Vine Wine. In the rolling hills of Southern Minnesota, grapes are nurtured to produce quality wine for your pleasure.
- Parley Lake Winery (8350 Parley Lake Road, Waconia – 19 miles) Parley Lake Winery is located at Deardorff Orchards and Vineyards. The winery’s 125 rolling, wooded acres are adjacent to the Carver Park Reserve and offer the chance to experience seven acres of Vineyards, 20 acres of orchards, and locally grown and produced wines. Wines have won 50 medals including eight Gold in National competitions. Star Tribune 2013 Best of MN Award.

- Excelsior Streetcar Line – Minnesota Streetcar Museum (Board at 305 Water Street, Excelsior – 18 miles) Enjoy a trip along a half-mile of track built on the former right-of-way of the Minneapolis and St. Louis Railway
- Gopher State Railway Museum (25501 Helena Boulevard, New Prague – 7 miles) GSRM volunteers are developing a 20 acre site into a place where visitors can see vintage rail equipment in operation, learn about the people who built and operated them and experience history in action (Watch for public opening date)
- The Landing (formerly Historic Murphy’s Landing) (2187 County Road 101 E, Shakopee – 15 miles) Tour historical buildings and meet with interpreters who portray Minnesota life as it was during 1840-1890

- Lake Minnetonka Regional Park (4610 County Road 44, Minnetrista – 20 miles) Large, nautical-themed play area, and chlorinated, sandy-bottom swimming pond; plus picnic spots, fishing pier, boat launch and trails
- Lake Minnewashta Regional Park (6900 Hazeltine Blvd, Chanhassen – 16 miles) Park features boat launch, swimming beach, bathhouse, picnic shelters, volleyball courts, playground, concessions, and a beach-front Little Free Library
- Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge (Rapids Lake Visitor Center, 15865 Carver Highlands Drive, Carver – 5 miles) One of the premier areas for birding in Minnesota, the Minnesota River Valley Birding Trail is project of Audubon Minnesota. Multiple land units along the Minnesota River. Visitor centers in Bloomington and Carver, and trails at units Black Dog (Burnsville), Bloomington Ferry, Chaska, Long Meadow Lake (Bloomington), Louisville Swamp (Shakopee), Rapids Lake (Carver), and Wilkie (Shakopee) units. Portions of the Refuge run through Minnesota DNR land.
- Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve (15501 Murphy Lake Road, Savage – 15 miles) Park features glacial ridges, hilly terrain and an extensive, lush forest. One of the most challenging cross-country ski areas in the Twin Cities and a favorite spot for mountain bikers. With the exception of the trails, the park reserve remains undeveloped, designating it as an Important Bird Area by the National Audubon Society.
- Shakopee SandVenture Aquatic Park (1101 Adams Street South, Shakopee – 11 miles) Unique one-acre sand bottom, chlorinated pool with sand beach; 300-foot waterslide, and two slides (Jun – Aug)
- Lagoon Park (300 Park Dr, Jordan, MN 55352) This citywide park is centrally located in the City of Jordan. It features a wide variety of recreational amenities including four horseshoe pits, three shelters with numerous picnic tables, grills, a gazebo, playground equipment, two sand volleyball courts, Mill Pond which offers a swimming beach, fishing dock, and ice skating.
